This work references abstracted scenes of NYC sidewalks, and still views of details from my paintings. The title references the invisible and immaterial forces at play in One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Street scenes in Manhattan—insect-eaten leaves in a sidewalk planter, scrolling footage of the pavement during a walk, and a deflated balloon on the ground—break down into ambiguous imagery and sound.
