Artist Statement
In my recent paintings, videos, drawings and photographs, I make ambiguous imagery with a quality of being simultaneously blurred and in-focus.
I reference the natural and constructed environments of New York City, especially its beaches and parks, and take close-up photographs of my everyday surroundings.
I aim to capture the elusive elements of my references—the movement and flux of the city and of the ocean.
